Nectarine Raspberry Summer Cake

February 18, 2016

Birthday cakes are my favourite to make, especially if unexpected. Funnily enough I am inclined to go to more effort if they are a surprise. This one here was a surprise (or at least it was supposed to be).

Cherry Blossom Cake (Cherry Coconut Cake)

February 10, 2016

This would make a great Valentines/Galentines day cake if that sorta thing floats your boat. I personally am more a fan of telling Bae he is great everyday than restricting it to just one day a year. But hey if someone delivered me a cute floral cake this Sunday I wouldn't complain.

Boysenberry Ripple Chia Ice Pops

June 20, 2015

One of the perks of working for a company that makes ice cream is that from time to time you get treated. I usually go for the delicious Kapiti ice creams sticks and for just a few minutes zone out into my own little bubble of joy as my mouth wraps around the sweet sweet goodness. This is the second time in the month of June I have had to forgo this delicious novelty in the name of Junk Free June.

Golden Peach and Coconut Cake

March 24, 2015

Basically I think what I am trying to communicate here in this post is that your early twenties are hard. But not actually hard, but hard in a self-centred first world problems type of hard. Raspberry Coconut Ice

July 1, 2014

Woman in the kitchen.

Apparently that is where we are supposed to be. In all honesty the kitchen is my favourite place to be but why is there such a social emphasis on the woman of the household being responsible for the nutrition of her family or friends?

Recipe number 40 is rather special. A week ago today Nana left this earth. To celebrate her life we all gathered in Matamata and of course there was afternoon tea. The Aunties and I all made something of hers. I was on cheesecakes. Welsh cheesecakes
Dylan and I made this @katherine_sabbath stunner yesterday to celebrate Chris’ birthday. Needless to say it went down an absolute treat 🍳🌽🍡
Apologies for the crap photos but I’d like to share the recipe for this family favourite. I’ve written about Dad’s favourite veggie casserole over on TheSupperClubKitchen.com under recipes worth sharing. It’s 90s nostalgia at
We’ve always seen making our own croissants as a pretty daunting task. I feel like there is a lot of mystique around their making that only trained experts can get their heads around. Since we had little else to do we (Dylan) decided to give ma

@bonappetitmag’s best ever bread recipe. It only took us three days but we’re here. Having this tonight with Ima’s chicken soup. Just call me Henny Penny.
